Transparent gift foil holds a decoratively designed basket together visually, while the content remains visible. With a suitable footprint, a quiet arrangement and a few work steps, a proper presentation is created. The foil cover serves above all the design and does not replace any shipping packaging.
Preparing basket and gifts first
Choose a basket or a sturdy gift bowl that matches the number and size of the gifts. Put heavy parts down on a viable surface. Lighter pieces can be placed before or above them, as long as they do not tilt or burden other objects. A suitable insert supports the position and can close gaps visually.
Try the arrangement before cutting the foil. Labels and the fronts of the gifts should remain easily recognizable. Same colors or recurring materials give the basket a quiet overall picture. If products are already individually packaged, this packaging is preserved; a decorative film does not take over its protective function.
Select the appropriate transparent foil
Check the width of the roll or the size of the bow. The foil must pass under the basket and provide sufficient supernatant on all sides to merge. A small sample cut or a paper sheet of similar size helps to estimate the need. To avoid a case that can only be closed under strong pull.
In everyday life, various transparent gift wraps are referred to as “cellophane”. The exact material cannot be reliably derived from this designation. Therefore, check the product details. Statements about disposal or suitability for direct food contact apply only to materials designated accordingly.
Merge and fasten the foil loosely
Place the sheet on a clean, sufficiently large surface and place the basket in the middle. Raise the opposite sides first and then lead the remaining sides up. Gently brush the wrinkles smoothly. The case should cover the basket without pushing sensitive objects inward.
Bind the fused foil above the highest gift with a ribbon. Keep away from sensitive surfaces. Individual overhanging edges can be cut cleanly after attaching. A loop or a small pendant complements the design without covering the content.
Planning presentation and transport separately
Lift up the finished gift basket on its sturdy base and not on the foil closure. Check if the gifts stay in place while moving carefully. If the basket is to be shipped, it also needs a matching outer carton, sufficient padding and a fixation against moving. Loose decoration and the transparent cover alone do not protect the content from the loads of a parcel shipment.
