Prepare a Flowerbox: Arrange flowers in a giftbox

Prepare a Flowerbox: Arrange flowers in a giftbox

A flower box combines a flower arrangement with a decorative box. The box keeps the design together, but must not be softened by moisture. Plan therefore shell, inner container and the arrangement as separate parts. Fresh and artificial flowers make different demands. An appealing presentation is also not yet a sufficiently protected packaging for an ordinary parcel shipment.

Choose box and moisture-resistant inner solution

The box should stand securely on a flat surface and fit the scope of the arrangement. For fresh flowers, it needs a suitable internal solution that separates water or moist plug-in material from the cardboard. Use a intended use and check its tightness before filling the box. Any piece of gift foil is not a reliable waterproof container.

If you use plug material, please refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for preparation and use. Cut it outside the box and remove loose remnants. The insert must not push the side walls apart. An additional base can protect the floor surface, but does not replace the dense separation between damp arrangement and paper packaging.

Arrange flowers and complementary elements clearly

Prepare the individual flowers and adjust their height to each other. Work from a clear basic form and leave enough space between delicate flowers. Do not overload the box: A balanced arrangement is easier to wear and maintain. The edge of the box should remain visible so that it can be safely grasped from below.

For artificial flowers, you usually do not need a watery internal solution, but a safe attachment. Laps of wires must not stand out of the packaging. Additional gifts such as a small bottle belong in a separate, suitable area. They must not press on flowers and should not beat freely against other components when moving the box.

Consciously limit transport and handover

Check the finished arrangement for tilting tilt, outstanding parts and moisture on the floor. For a personal transfer, a matching carrying bag can help if its load capacity fits the Flowerbox. Wear the box horizontally and as far as possible from below. Decorative tapes do not assume any bearing function and should not compress the insert.

An open arrangement with fresh flowers is not automatically suitable for parcel shipping. This would require a separate, suitable transport design as well as clarification of the shipping conditions. For fresh flowers, give the recipient the appropriate care instructions for the interior solution used. After use, it is easier to separate the box, use and design if they have been planned from the beginning without unnecessary bonding.
